Reunion Events
We worked on finalizing the details and supplies needed for each of the planned events of the weekend. We will each go out and look at pricing and bring back estimates to our next meeting.

Pre-Game Meet-up & School Tour
Action Items:
-Contact School Rentals Division office to find out costs for renting the gymnasium lobby for our meet up and check-in. (request: tables, permission for refreshments, display stand)
-Confirm a tour time by SCA of the school for alumni
-Pricing (refreshments, balloons, memory boards, old year books, class picture display?)
-Check-in packets (Confirm contents: Name badge, Schedule with map, Tickets to game, Game tchocthke, Game snack/drink ticket?, keegan’s drink specials?, picnic reminder)

Football Game at Ocean Lakes vs. First Colonial
Action Items:
-Purchase group tickets
-Contact Band Boosters for Concession prices to include a drink/snack ticket
-Arrange a time for us to come decorate the stands
-Decorations (banner, streamers, balloons, foam fingers or pompoms to alum?)

Post-Game Celebration at Keegan’s Sports Bar
Action Items:
-When can we come over from the game to decorate?
-Decorations (move those from check-in and game; additional tchotchke for Keegan’s?)

Afternoon Picnic at Dam Neck Cabana
Action Items:
-Visit the site to get a good idea of the space and how to decorate/welcome alum
-Confirm with John regarding electricity and music (any alum want to create a playlist/DJ?)
-Pricing (drinks, kegs, food, desserts, utensils)
-Decorations (banner, steamers, balloons, games for kids, memory table? Souvenir plastic cups distributed)

Reunion Tickets
PayPal was successfully set up and we have sold 10 tickets (3 DVDs).

Many people are saying they plan to attend, but haven’t bought tickets yet- we will raise prices on September 1 and will begin a campaign to encourage early ticket purchases:
Now – Aug 31, 2009 the tickets will remain at $20 per person/ $35 per couple
Sept 1 – 15, 2009 the tickets will increase $5 to $25 per person/ $40 per couple
Sept 16 – 30, 2009 the tickets will increase another $5 to $30 per person/ $45 per couple

We cannot accept new tickets after Sept 30 due to needing to give our final list of attendees to Dam Neck Base for Saturday’s picnic.

For those who can’t both days, we have divided the cost as follows:
Friday night only = $7 per person
Saturday only = $15 per person/ $25 per couple

Alumni Contact

We are still missing contact information for close to 300 alumni. Many are in touch via Facebook/MySpace, but I have no email addresses for them. Also, several email addresses are coming back undeliverable.

We will continue to encourage classmates to get in touch and begin advertising on all sites conceivable!

Next Meeting
We will meet again to discuss progress on Sunday, August 30 at 12:30pm at the Starbucks across from Princess Anne High School.
