OLHS 1999 Reunion Minutes

Reunion Date

We decided to finalize the weekend of October 2-3, 2009, for our 10-year reunion as it is the first home game after Labor Day weekend. The planned events of the weekend follow below.

Friday, October 2, 2009

6:00pm: Pre-Game Meet-up & School Tour

We would like to host a pre-game get together at Ocean Lakes High. We will be contacting the school to see if we can host a meet-up in the lobby or cafeteria to welcome you, provide your tickets for the weekend, name badges and other fun treats, and perhaps get a student group to provide school tours.

7:00pm: Football Game at Ocean Lakes vs. First Colonial

We will decorate a section of the stands for ’99 grads and catch-up while we cheer on the team!

9:00pm: Post-Game Celebration at Keegan’s Sports Bar

Following the game, we’ll be heading over to Keegan’s at Red Mill Commons to celebrate our reunion.

11:00am: Afternoon Picnic at Dam Neck Cabana

To wrap up our reunion weekend, we will be hosting a picnic from 11am-4pm at the cabana at Dam Neck Beach. Bring the family out for a fun afternoon relaxing by the beach and enjoying the great company!

Reunion Prices

$20 per person; $35 per couple

We set the early-bird price at $20 per person ($35 per couple) to cover the pre-game school tour, game tickets, drink specials at Keegan’s, food/drink at the picnic, and a souvenir cup. Kids will be no extra cost for the picnic, however if you’d like to bring them to the game, you will need to purchase their ticket separately. These prices will be in effect until one month pre-reunion (September 2), after which they will be raised.

There will also be an option to add $10 to your ticket price and receive a Reunion DVD that will highlight the weekend’s events along with memories from high school created by John Koehler.

We will be setting up a PayPal account to allow payment via the internet and will begin collecting payments immediately.

Reunion Invitations

We will be sending out an Evite so that others can see who has RSVP’d and can forward along the invitation to others we may not be in touch with yet.

Next Meeting

We will meet again to discuss progress sometime in mid-June- the date is TBA.
